Command 0x00: End channel

Ends the channel’s sequence.

Syntax

0x00

Parameters

There are no parameters.

Remarks

Clears the channel’s active flag; from then on, this channel’s sequence is no longer processed. Unless an SE interrupt is in progress, the DSP channel is keyed off.

If this command is executed on an SE channel (logical channels 8-15), the following processing is also performed to end the sound effect.

  • Clears the SE interrupt flag of the corresponding BGM channel so that the BGM channel can write to the DSP.
  • Disables noise on that DSP channel.
  • Restores echo enable/disable on that DSP channel according to the BGM channel’s echo enable flag.

To make a BGM channel run again, the track must be reinitialized.
