Command 0x29: Fade-out
Starts a fade-out of the master volume and echo volume.
Syntax
0x29, byte step
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| step | byte | Fade amount per BGM tick |
Description
Sets the fade amount ($0D). From then on, step is added to the fade value ($0B) on every BGM tick (maximum 255), and the DSP master volume and echo volume are written with the saved base values ($0230-$0233) minus the fade value (0 if the result is below 0).
If step is 0, the fade stops at the current volume.
This command takes no time to process; the following event is read within the same tick.
Note
- The fade value does not return to 0 until the driver is initialized (the song is transferred again).
- The fade amount is added per BGM tick, so the fade speed depends on the tempo.
