Command 0x22: Load volume/ADSR preset 2

Writes volume/ADSR preset 2 to the DSP.

There are no parameters.

Description

Immediately writes the left/right volume and ADSR of preset 2, registered with command 0x1D, to the VOL and ADSR registers of the channel’s DSP voice.

This command takes no time to process; the following event is read within the same tick.

Note

The channel’s volume ($0254+x, $0264+x) and ADSR ($0274+x, $0284+x) are not changed. Since the channel’s values are written to the DSP at the next key-on, the preset only affects the note currently sounding.
It writes directly to the DSP even during an SE interrupt, so it affects the sound effect being played.
When executed on an SE channel (logical channels 8-15), the DSP address is calculated without converting the channel number to 0-7, so unrelated DSP registers are overwritten.
