Command 0x12: Tuning

Sets the channel’s tuning value.

Description

Sets the channel’s tuning value ($6C+x). At key-on, P × tuning ÷ 1024 is added to the pitch value P obtained from the pitch definition table.
Each unit is about 1.7 cents, allowing correction in the range of about −2.3 to +2.0 semitones. It is mainly used to correct the pitch offset of each sample.

This command takes no time to process; the following event is read within the same tick.

Note

Executing command 0x01 or 0x28 resets the tuning value to 0. Execute this command after setting the instrument.
