Command 0x00: End channel

Ends the channel’s sequence.

Syntax

0x00

Parameters

There are no parameters.

Description

Clears the channel’s active flag, after which this channel’s sequence is no longer processed. Unless an SE interrupt is in progress, the DSP channel is keyed off.

When this command is executed on an SE channel (logical channels 8-15), the following is also done to end the sound effect.

  • Clear the SE interrupt flag of the corresponding BGM channel, allowing the BGM channel to write to the DSP.
  • Disable noise on that DSP channel.
  • Restore echo enable/disable of that DSP channel according to the BGM channel’s echo enable flag.

To make a BGM channel run again, the song must be reinitialized.
