CSS text-decoration property is totally ignored with pseudo ::selection element

This page has a style of
::selection{ text-decoration: underline solid red; color: red; }
. Please try selecting some text. No underline appears.

MDN web docs says text-decoration and its associated properties can be used with ::selection.
But strangely, there're no browsers that follow the document correctly on text-decoration.
The behaviors of IE, Edge and Firefox are the same as Chrome.
Is this a problem of browser implementation, or a specification?

*Chrome and Firefox don't change the default text-decoration-color of a element at all, but IE and Edge correctly changes the color. On that point, the implementation of IE and Edge is the best.

*P.S. Oh my, I didn't know that text-decoration-color is still a new property.
IE and Edge don't support such property, so they behaved correctly by chance...
